Works fine. Though configs don't merge fine and needs some modifications (too much newlines)

#6 souldn't there be a "~" in front of x86? in the ebuild it says: KEYWORDS="~amd64 ~ppc x86"
The ebuild seems to have still some bugs. Also the file postinstall-en.txt is missing (I simply created an empty one on my system).

i have updated from 1.4.6 to 1.6.1 and when i try to start the services agen i get a parmission denied. [ebuild R ] net-analyzer/zabbix-1.6.1 USE="agent curl frontend jabber ldap mysql server -oracle -postgres -proxy -snmp -sqlite3 -vhosts" i fixed it by chown zabbix:zabbix /etc/zabbix/zabbix_*

1.6.5 has been released. Renamed ebuild and config files, looks good on amd64 with postgresql-8.3, but not yet tested in full production ;-) Path names of some entries in config-files should be changed: The ebuild creates the directory /var/log/zabbix for logfiles, but the default entries points to /tmp/*.log.

There is a small typo in the filename, should be zabbix-1.6.6.ebuild :) With that fix and the fixes of #c23 one server with postgres 8.3 is up and running on amd64. Will check some clients soon.
