Description sp 2008-09-07 16:37:31 UTC
As part of setting up a new gentoo powerpc install, I attempted to download and install the default virtual/jdk. virtual/jdk depends on a separate bin download form IBM, and gives URLs. The direct download url no longer exists. The secondary link (to download.html) works, but the download is filed under iSeries/pSeries 32-bit, not under ppc or powerpc. The direct download link should be corrected, or a notation should be made stating hte proper link to prevent confusion

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1. On a powerpc system attempt to emerge virtual/jdk or dev-java/ibm-jdk-bin-1.6.0.1
2. Attempt to download from the direct download link. Subdomain will not resolve.
3. Use the secondary link (download.html). The correct download exists, but is not clearly marked as such, and will cause confusion
Actual Results:
Download is possible, but requires exploring the site because it is not clearly marked, nor does emerge's output state the correct link.

Expected Results:
Find a download.

emerge --info should be irrelevant.

Looks good to me now. If not for you, please post the link ebuild gives you plus the link from the download page so we can check for differences.
