I tried to install Gentoo-2008.0 but everytime I tried to emerge something I got failure and message /usr/lib64/portage/bin/ebuild.sh line 1492 /bin/touch argument list too long.

Reproducible: Always

I think this is a duplicate of bug #222091. Look there first.

Second, post your emerge --info and report back.

Apply the patch that's attached to bug 222091 for your current version of portage.
