Are you a bot or what ? :p Don't tell me you're manually posting every single update there and can't bump it in your overlay :) Anyway, +1 from me, it appears to fix the test failures I was experiencing ppc64. The announce is here: http://article.gmane.org/gmane.comp.encryption.gpg.gnutls.devel/3106 Even if it's a rc, it should be more stable/reliable than 2.5.4 (which was imho a mistake to add to the tree, and even more if we don't get the updated release canditates after this pre-rc version).

http://article.gmane.org/gmane.comp.encryption.gpg.gnutls.devel/3135 We are proud to announce a new stable GnuTLS release: Version 2.6.0. http://article.gmane.org/gmane.comp.encryption.gpg.gnutls.devel/3170 The GnuTLS 2.7.x branch is NOT what you want for your stable system. It is intended for developers and experienced users. Please try to distinguish between stable and experimental releases; current ~arch is a beta release and has been annoying me long enough. 2.6.0 *should really* go in the tree. 2.7.0 at best under p.mask imho.

Gentoo ~${ARCH} is intended for experienced users :) . > Please try to distinguish between stable and experimental releases The summary of this bug distinguishes both versions. > 2.7.0 at best under p.mask imho. No need to package.mask 2.7.0.
net-libs/gnutls-2.7.1 was released on 2008-10-30.
(In reply to comment #13) > net-libs/gnutls-2.7.1 was released on 2008-10-30. I have some problems with building net-libs/gnutls-2.7.1: http://lists.gnu.org/archive/html/gnutls-devel/2008-10/msg00065.html If these problems can be reproduced (with USE="lzo") by others, then net-libs/gnutls-2.7.0 could be added to the tree until these problems are fixed.
currently an upstream selftest failure https://savannah.gnu.org/support/index.php?106543 otherwise added. Thanks for the bug report. Don't forget to use selftests. i'm not keen on adding 2.7.1 yet.
