Last kernel implemet CONFIG_NONPROMISC_DEVMEM; v86d < 0.1.6 will not work.

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1.update the kernel to 2.6.26* without update v86d
2.
3.




sys-apps/v86d-0.1.6
and
sys-kernel/gentoo-sources-2.6.26-r1

still both on ~arch until now.

The dependencies probably should be updated accordingly. :-)

We can't add an unconditional dependency on v86d to the kernel.  Let's just try to make sure that v86d-0.1.6 is marked stable before gentoo-sources-2.6.26 is.

Reassigning to kernel@g.o, as it's going to make it easier to track this when gentoo-sources-2.6.26 is moved into stable.

v86d is no longer in the tree as it had known bugs.  Please proceed with stabilizing v86d-0.1.9.

amd64/x86 stable, all arches done.
