Description Johannes H. 2008-07-15 20:49:12 UTC
hteditor gets killed because a stack smash attack is detected.

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1. start hteditor in console ( 'ht' )
2. Open a file, e.g. /bin/cat with F3 and browse to /bin/cat (or any other linux-binary, "normal" files seem to work) and hit enter

Actual Results:

Comment 1 Johannes H. 2008-07-15 20:52:42 UTC
Sry, pls correct the summary. It is 'hteditor' and not 'htedit'.
Comment 2 solar (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2008-07-15 23:29:50 UTC
Another dupe of the ssp & c++ bug. (more pain than it's worth).. Tempted to add CXXFLAGS="-fno..." to make.defaults
Comment 3 Sebastian Biallas 2009-02-05 17:41:28 UTC
I just released ht 2.0.16 which should fix this problem.
