Hello,

It seems 3.1 is out, but I am yet to test it.

Cheers
Comment 1 Ben de Groot (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2008-07-12 22:04:35 UTC
I am running it, that is the ebuild from kdesvn-portage, with their 4.1-beta kde libs and qt-4.4.0. Works fine here.
Comment 2 Ioannis Aslanidis (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2008-07-15 05:18:27 UTC
Please, reopen once kde 4.1 hits the tree.

I'm not sure this is "later" - it's running with KDE 4.0.5 and qt-4.4 here...
Comment 5 Ioannis Aslanidis (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2008-07-20 21:46:46 UTC
Yes, I understand that, but I am not pushing any 3.x version of ktorrent to the tree until kde-4.1 hits in. Consider it a matter of organization.
Comment 6 Tanktalus 2008-07-21 04:50:23 UTC
That still leaves me confused ... because I see 3.0.0, 3.0.1, 3.0.2, and 3.0.2-r1 all in the tree right now (masked). This version bump would not be something intended to be stable any more than 3.0.* (even though it might become stable some time after 4.1 becomes stable, that's just too far down the road for this conversation).
Comment 7 William V 2008-10-08 03:36:25 UTC
What do you think of reopening now? Kde 4.1.2 is in the tree.
Comment 8 Nuitari 2008-10-13 07:04:11 UTC
Yeah having a working ktorrent with kde 4.1 would be nice
Comment 9 Andrew Evans 2008-10-14 23:53:38 UTC
+1 for reopen now. I'm running KDE 4.1 and there's no KDE-4.1-compatible KTorrent ebuild in Portage now. ktorrent-3.0.2-r1 is package masked and builds against KDE 4.0 libs, which are likewise package masked.

Sure thing. I'll push it to the tree as soon as I can.
Comment 13 Tomasz Golinski 2008-10-18 22:41:53 UTC
I have installed ktorrent-3.1.3 and has problem if kdelibs-3.5.10 is also installed. Namely - when I try to look for torrents, ktorrent crashes with message:

!!!!!!! ERROR !!!!!!! - KHTML default stylesheet version mismatch. Aborting. Check your installation. File used was: /usr/kde/3.5/share/apps/khtml/css/html4.css. Expected STYLE_VERSION 1

KCrash: Application 'ktorrent' crashing...

I had to change name of that file and it seems to have solved the problem.

Let me mention that I do not have full KDE installation - only what ktorrent and amarok has pulled in.

Bump for 3.1.4?
Comment 15 Nuitari 2008-10-22 04:18:39 UTC
Please bump to 3.1.4 at least in kde-testing as it fixes a nasty infinite loop.

jmbvicetto, can you take care of this one for me? I am still resolving a few issues with KDE 4
Comment 17 Tomáš Chvátal (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2008-11-02 00:53:41 UTC
Dont want to sound stupid, but we already put that into tree 23.10.
Remember i did the tests and jmbvicetto did verbump. :]
Closing as fixed. Since 3.1.3 and 3.1.4 are both in the tree ;]
