Currently, the only version of the Ventrilo server that is in the current portage tree is version 2.3.1.  It is very difficult to find the tar.gz file for this old version of the sever.  I have modified the ebuild for 2.3.1 to work with the tar ball for 3.0.2, and submit it here for inclusion in the portage tree.

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
emerge --search ventrilo-server-bin
Actual Results:  
Only available version is 2.3.1

Expected Results:  
Version 3.0.2 available as the most recent version
