Description José María Fernández González 2008-07-02 13:20:27 UTC
FASTA is a DNA and Protein sequence alignment software package, created before NCBI Blast but still maintained. Some tools included in the software package (like ssearch) are very useful. The donwload page for the source package is:

http://fasta.bioch.virginia.edu/fasta_www2/fasta_down.shtml

Reproducible: Always

I have created an ebuild for this package, and I'm going to add it in the next bug update.

Tested on x86 and works fine. I attach my emerge --info output.
Please, consider informing gentoo-science mailing list about your
ebuild (if you haven't done so yet) in order to put the ebuild
into science overlay faster.
