i had some trouble on x86-64 2008.0 with all version amarok. try "ln -s /usr/lib/libGL.so.1 /usr/lib/libGL.so" (is useful for me) or "emerge -1 mesa". and show "eselect opengl list", "ls -l /usr/lib/libGL*". i think it is not problem kde, it is promblem driver for your video adapter.
