dev-lang/python-2.5.2-r4: Allow sys-libs/db:4.6.
Created attachment 157837 [details, diff] python-2.5.2-berkeleydb-4.6.patch The comment in setup.py is about versions <4.6.21:4.6.
Does anybody know if the comment removed by the patch regarding db-4.6's lack of stability is still valid? I've been running 4.6.21_p1 and everything builds/links/works fine (daily use with cyrus-imapd). Just curious since the latest bdb release is 4.7.25 and contains the usual set of scary-sounding bugfixes.
(In reply to comment #2) > Does anybody know if the comment removed by the patch regarding db-4.6's > lack of stability is still valid? http://svn.python.org/view/python/trunk/setup.py?rev=63742&r1=63718&r2=63742 suggests that Berkeley DB 4.6 is stable only on x86, amd64 and ia64.
