Description Seemant Kulleen (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2003-06-15 06:58:31 UTC
mu-mh is missing
Comment 1 Seemant Kulleen (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2003-06-15 07:00:25 UTC
optional postgresql support seems missing as well (that's new as of .1)
Comment 2 Seemant Kulleen (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2003-06-15 07:12:01 UTC
more detail -- mh-utils is what's missing: --enable-mh-utils --with-mh-dir=(wherever)
Comment 3 Jon Portnoy (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2003-06-15 11:32:39 UTC
I'm a little undecided on the best place for mu-mh binaries - the default is PREFIX/bin/nm-uh/ - any thoughts? Directories in /usr/bin/ is somewhat messy, but the only decent alternative that I can think of (having just woken up, that's not saying a whole lot, I suppose) is something like /usr/mu-mh/bin/ with a env.d file.
Comment 4 Seemant Kulleen (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2003-06-21 17:14:51 UTC
why not just /usr/bin? or $[prefix}/bin to be more proper
Comment 5 Jon Portnoy (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2003-06-21 17:39:34 UTC
Mainly because of how generic the binary names are.

I actually need to work around an access violation at any rate and will work out a decent naming scheme after that.
Comment 6 Cory Visi (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2004-06-30 10:54:33 UTC
mailutils-0.3.1-r1.ebuild in portage:
- dual postgres/mysql support
- mh-utils in /usr/bin/mu-mh
- access violation fixed

Let me know about any bugs; thanks!
