Description Caleb Cushing 2008-06-18 10:30:58 UTC
can you guys make postgresql ebuild have the vim-syntax flag and install the psql.vim file from vim.org? I'm not sure if this is possible but if there's any way for you to have it activated when using vim as an editor in the psql shell would be nice too.

Reproducible: Always

@vim: You guys know how to handle it properly, feel free to fix as you see fit

And it's no longer postgresql but postgresql-server we care about
Comment 3 Aaron W. Swenson gentoo-dev 2010-09-25 00:38:33 UTC
It seems that psql.vim is terribly out of date.

This, on the other hand, was last updated this year.

It might be best to try to get vim upstream to include this or the best syntax file out there since the syntax files for most other major SQL servers are already included in standard release.

Given that there's no consistent upstream source that will keep the syntax file up-to-date, I'm closing this.

@vim herd: If you want to adopt the syntax file and keep it current, feel free to reopen this bug.
