can't use mosfet's liquid in kdm. kdm switches to dotnet or something like that. A symlink in /usr/kde/3.1/lib/kde3/plugins/styles/ pointing to /usr/lib/kde3/plugins/styles fixes the problem Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. emerge mosfet-liquid-widget 2. change kdm's style to liquid 3. no liquid in kdm Actual Results: Errrr.... I told you :-) Expected Results: Guess!! Use liquid in kdm Portage 2.0.48-r1 (default-x86-1.4, gcc-3.2.3, glibc-2.3.2-r1) ================================================================= System uname: 2.4.20-gentoo-r1 i686 Pentium III (Coppermine) GENTOO_MIRRORS="ftp://ftp.ibiblio.org/pub/linux/distributions/gentoo http://distro.ibiblio.org/gentoo " CONFIG_PROTECT="/etc /var/qmail/control /usr/kde/2/share/config /usr/kde/3/share/config /usr/X11R6/lib/X11/xkb /usr/kde/3.1/share/config /usr/share/config" CONFIG_PROTECT_MASK="/etc/gconf /etc/env.d" PORTDIR="/usr/portage" DISTDIR="/usr/portage/distfiles" PKGDIR="/usr/portage/packages" PORTAGE_TMPDIR="/var/tmp" PORTDIR_OVERLAY="/usr/local/portage" USE="x86 oss apm avi crypt cups gif jpeg kde libg++ mmx mpeg ncurses pdflib png quicktime spell truetype xml2 xmms xv zlib gdbm berkdb readline java X sdl tcpd pam libwww python esd imlib oggvorbis qt opengl -3dnow -aalib acl acpi acpi4linux -afs -alsa -arts -cdr -dvd -encode ethereal -gnome -gpm -gtk -gtk2 imap -innodb -ipv6 jikes -ldap -mikmod -motif -mysql -nls -odbc perl -ruby -samba -scanner -slang -slp -snmp -socks5 sse ssl -svga tcltk -tetex threads tiff usb wmf -xface xfs xml" COMPILER="gcc3" CHOST="i686-pc-linux-gnu" CFLAGS="-march=pentium3 -O3 -mmmx -msse -pipe -fomit-frame-pointer -ffast-math -fprefetch-loop-arrays -maccumulate-outgoing-args" CXXFLAGS="-march=pentium3 -O3 -mmmx -msse -pipe -fomit-frame-pointer -ffast-math -fprefetch-loop-arrays -maccumulate-outgoing-args" ACCEPT_KEYWORDS="x86 ~x86" MAKEOPTS="-j2" AUTOCLEAN="yes" SYNC="rsync://rsync.gentoo.org/gentoo-portage" FEATURES="sandbox ccache distcc userpriv usersandbox"
Didn't work in KDE 3.1.4 and KDE 3.1.5. So I won't expect this to be working in KDE 3.2.0 ? (But would be too cool)
ugh, another one - not a 100% dupe, but... *** This bug has been marked as a duplicate of 46042 ***
Errrr, no. It's not even a 1% dupe! The bug you're referring to talks about liquid no compiling with newer versions of KDE, while this bugs talks about not being able to use liquid theme in KDM. Personally, I don't use liquid anymore (plastik is much more professional) so I don't care about this issue anymore. Thanks
If you had read the other bug, you would have noticed, that I want to remove the package entirely. That's why I "jointed" the bug reports.
Ah. Ok. No problem with me :-) Thanks, Norberto
