Please apply this patch. I've -gnome in my USE flags and gdk-pixbuf still tries to install 
the gnome 1.4 libs.

please search our bugzilla for similar entries and read the ebuild. We know it's possible, but adding this USE flag leads to a world of pain (aka bugreports) for us. The problem is that 99% of the used apps on top of it require it and since we currently can't force USE flags on a dependency in ebuilds using gdk-pixbuf we choose not to provide the option.

So the people who really don't need it have to work this one out for themselves for now.
