Reproducible: Always

The current hal-info (20080310) breaks the bluetooth killswitch on my thinkpad x60s, can you please add 20080508 that was released with hal 0.5.11... and ideally we could have it quick-stabilized on x86/amd64...
Comment 2 Olivier Crete (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2008-06-22 04:21:06 UTC
arg, actually it doesnt seem to fix the bluetooth killswitch... but it should be added anyways
Comment 3 Olivier Crete (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2008-06-26 01:54:48 UTC
Since there seems to be no activity in the gentopia side of things, I took the liberty of adding it myself to the tree.
Comment 4 Doug Goldstein (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2008-06-26 15:34:55 UTC
Tester: You broke the tree...

!!! Multiple versions within a single package slot have been pulled
!!! into the dependency graph, resulting in a slot conflict:

app-misc/hal-info:0

  ('ebuild', '/', 'app-misc/hal-info-20080310', 'merge') pulled in by
    @world
    ('ebuild', '/', 'sys-apps/hal-0.5.11-r1', 'merge')

  ('ebuild', '/', 'app-misc/hal-info-20080508', 'merge') pulled in by
    @world

It may be possible to solve this problem by using package.mask to
prevent one of those packages from being selected. However, it is also
possible that conflicting dependencies exist such that they are
impossible to satisfy simultaneously. If such a conflict exists in the
dependencies of two different packages, then those packages can not be
installed simultaneously.

For more information, see MASKED PACKAGES section in the emerge man page
or refer to the Gentoo Handbook.

emerge: there are no ebuilds to satisfy "sys-kernel/gentoo-sources:2.6.23-r4".
Comment 5 Olivier Crete (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2008-06-26 16:24:16 UTC
arg... the dep in sys-apps/hal is wrong, app-misc/hal-info-20080508 is the version that should go with it, not the march version... but anyways, both should work, can we do >= instead?
Comment 6 Olivier Crete (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2008-06-27 14:50:33 UTC
fixed the dep in sys-apps/hal
