Using the 1.1a iso x86 and 686 iso images, and doing a complete build from scratch on an AMD 1900XP system, 1GB memory, ABit KR7A motherboard, that had previously been running gentoo .9 with XFS. Formatted the harddrive (two still using xfs), and on the bootstrap.sh, during the glibc build, it would lock (even other consoles would not respond). Repeated this five times. Reformatted with ext3, and the bootstrap completed fine (as did the remaining build.

Hiya Charles, take a look at this bug report for a workaround. I'm closing this bug, as it will be fixed on our next CD and is a known issue.
Moving these so we can remove the "Install CD" component from "Gentoo Linux". I apologize to everyone for this spam, but according to the bugzilla developers, this is the only reasonable way to do this.
