Description Jeremy Visser 2008-05-18 12:02:20 UTC
If you look at the man page for emerge, you'll see that the help for the -F option contains the word "irregardless":

       --fetch-all-uri (-F)
Instead of doing any package building, just perform fetches for
all packages (fetch everything in SRC_URI irregardless of USE
              setting).

This word is widely regarded (no pun intended) as incorrect -- the word should be replaced with "regardless", which would carry the same meaning.

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Type "man emerge".
2. Type "/ irregardless".
3. Gawp in horror at the awful grammatical error.
Actual Results:
Fainting, nausea, rapid breathing, and in some extreme cases, death.
