There is a never alpha version of leafnode-2 as in portage.

FWIW, the changelog:

Most notably, some needed fixes for applyfilter.

Seems there were several more alpha releases.

No new alphas since 2009, no real maintainer, old alphas were removed from tree.

I don't see any reason to reanimate that.
