I downloaded pciutils-2.1.10.tar.gz from the gentoo.oregonstate.edu mirror and
discovered the following:

I deleted that one and downloaded it from the official source listed in the
ebuild and it all went through smoothly. Possible problem with the
oregonstate.edu mirror?
