Description Yoni 2003-05-23 21:03:07 UTC
I have tried to emerge several packages including fwbuilder, merlin-cpufire,
and several others (that I can't recall off the top of my head), and all have
resulted in a "message digests do not match" error when trying to install (in
this case) dependencies for the program.

Reproducible: Always
Steps to Reproduce:
1.emerge merlin-cpufire
2.
3.

Actual Results:
!!! gdk-pixbuf-0.21.0.tar.bz2: message digests do not match!
!!! gdk-pixbuf-0.21.0.tar.bz2 is corrupt or incomplete.

>>>  your file's digest: fa71252b3ab2220932e0a819d079d6a4
>>> Please delete /usr/portage/distfiles/gdk-pixbuf-0.21.0.tar.bz2 and
refetch.

Expected Results:
installed the package!

Verified. I get this same "!!! File is corrupt or incomplete. (Digests do not match)" error when trying to emerge *any* package.

This error occurred immediately following upgrading the portage package on two seperate boxes.
