Currently, the only way to have dv support in  gstreamer (especially media-video/totem) is to emerge by hand media-plugins/gst-plugins-dv. It would be handy to pull it in automatically with the 'dv' use flag (which already exists).

Another use flags should be faad and "bad" or something like this

Reassigning to the primary maintainer of gst-plugins-meta.
A meta reorganization initiated from gstreamer team side will be thought about deeply after we are up to date on releases and some bug fixes and missing splits
