Trying to merge wireshark 0.99.8 fails with this message:

Actual Results:  
Does not found gtk2 although its there.

Expected Results:  
gtk2 should be found and compile fine.

Thanks for this hint. config.log told me whats wrong.

My CFLAGS show this "-fomit-frame-pointer".
The testprogram for gtk2 however uses the flag "-pg".
Both are incompatible which cause the configure script to fail.
Merging wireshark without fomit-frame-pointer cflag resolves the problem temporarily.
In my opinion one of the flags should be filterd out when merged, so i'll reopen it to get solved in a proper way.

It wouldn't use any such flag if you didn't enable USE=profile. You really need to make such choice yourself, either you want profiling or -fomit-frame-pointer, both at the same time doesn't make sense.
