It would be cool to be able to see juts how far emerge is in the process. Emerging kde takes 
for ever, and I need to decide if I should go to bed, or wait to see the results... 

Reproducible: Always
Steps to Reproduce:
1. emerge something big (kde, xfree) 
2. Wait a while for it to run 
3. You have no idea how much longer it will take 
Actual Results:  
I got confused about time remaining 

Expected Results:  
Given me an indication of how much time left

Isn't this same as bug 18432?
