Tested on AMD64, some qa warning during installation, but the rest seems to be fine. I tested the following plugins on my msn account:

/exec 2.2.0: it's fun to annoy some friends with !ls, seems to works fine.
    /flip: Seems to work fine.
   /dice: Seems to work fine.
   /8ball seems to work,
/bash: it works, but always generates broken quotes.
 /rim: (gRIM) crashed my pidgin.

[ebuild R ] x11-plugins/purple-plugin_pack-2.2.0 USE="gtk ncurses -debug -talkfilters" 0 kB

the qa warnings:

* QA Notice: Package has poor programming practices which may compile
 * fine but exhibit random runtime failures.
 * log-widget.c:224: warning: implicit declaration of function '_'
range-widget.c:211: warning: implicit declaration of function '_'

 * Please do not file a Gentoo bug and instead report the above QA
 * issues directly to the upstream developers of this software.
