You need at least 2 songs in your playlist. The first one should have a few secs silence in the end, the second should start with some sound immediately, to hear the problem. When automatic songchange is done, the first song is cut off, exactly when the silence in the end starts and then jumps to the beginning of the second song. This stops, when you enter preferences -> audio -> output plugin preferences; that is the crossfade configuration menu.
