Description Toralf Förster gentoo-dev 2008-02-14 08:48:04 UTC
As described here http://forums.gentoo.org/viewtopic-t-648122-highlight-.html at Mi Feb 13, 2008 2:43 pm I got this error if I mount an NFSv4 dir : "mount point /mnt/nfs/n22_tmp does not exist"

I'm pretty sure that the mount command worked fine some weeks before b/c I filed a bug related to malformed NFSv4 packets : http://bugs.wireshark.org/bugzilla/show_bug.cgi?id=2148 where I had time to play with NFSv4 and UML.

I'm running a pretty stable Gentoo system w/o any obscure USE/C/... flags.

Reproducible: Always

Hhm, beside hat I'm wondering what changed within the last 6 weeks at my system I read bug 149472 carefully but didn't have a clue until now how to fix my UML system. I recompiled coreutils with +/-acl +/-nfs but this wasn't successful.
Comment 3 Jakub Moc (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2008-02-14 10:58:28 UTC
echo "sys-apps/acl -nfs" >> /etc/portage/profile/package.use.mask, re-emerge acl and try again.
Comment 4 Toralf Förster gentoo-dev 2008-02-14 14:52:34 UTC
Did not work :-(

Here's my UML system:

sys-apps/acl -nfs
n22_uml ~ # emerge --info

So what did you upgrade/change before it started to fail?

emerge history withi UML

Hhm, I regulary updated my UML but didn't test the NFSv4 since 19th of December but I'm wondering whether the kernel headers could interfere with sth ?
Comment 7 Jakub Moc (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2008-02-14 18:01:49 UTC
You can downgrade and try; pretty unlikely I'd say...
Comment 8 Toralf Förster gentoo-dev 2008-07-22 14:20:58 UTC
solved, nfs4 has changed syntax ...
