I've noticed it only because I have backup (modified to add python support). Without adding -r1 patches was added: 8c8 < PATCH="${P}-patches-0.1" --- > PATCH="${P}-patches-0.3" Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: Actual Results: No version bump. As a result of this anybody who merged package before this change was build it without newer patches. Expected Results: New ebuild with version 1.8.1.11-r1 (and possibly 1.8.1.11-r2) should be created.
The changes in the patches were to fix compile problems, so there's no need to make all the users to rebuild it.
Not to mention that .12 is stable for security now...
