These files have a .hash section even when my LDFLAGS tell the linker not to generate it:

sys-fs/lvm2-2.02.33 (/usr/lib64/liblvm2cmd.so.2.02)
sys-fs/lvm2-2.02.33 (/usr/lib64/libdevmapper-event-lvm2snapshot.so.2.02)
sys-fs/lvm2-2.02.33 (/lib64/libdevmapper-event-lvm2mirror.so.2.02)
