waiting for bug 166192
Although there's a Bullet banner on their website, there is also this: "(...) It's powered by the excellent Vamos physics engine. (...)"

Doesn't scons install work anymore?
It works, but I had some missing files after that and vdrift refused to start. Something related to ${GAMES_DATADIR}/${PN}/shaders/*. Whole "shaders" directory was missing.

There's a new version out, 2008-08-05. I'm considering trying to update the ebuild, but I have never done this before (I've only switched to gentoo about 2 weeks ago). Right now, I'm not sure what I would do about the libglew, vorbisfile, and libvorbis-dev dependences. Bullet is available in unstable now so that shouldn't be a problem. I'm also not sure if the sed substitution and the patch epatch "${FILESDIR}"/${P}-gcc42.patch sed -i '/-O2/d' SConstruct || die "sed failed" in the unpack stage will still be necessary or if those were specific to the last version.
