Description meme 2008-01-13 19:19:40 UTC
setting search option for hardware to 'all' fails to find a bug which is easily found when hardware is set to amd64. Example in 'steps to reproduce'

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1.go to search page: http://bugs.gentoo.org/query.cgi
2.reset the advanced search page. I used 'save as default', search, then 'reset to system default'. There's probably a better way.
3.select all bug 'status' entries, or 'resolved'.
4.set hardware to 'all' (or leave unset)
5.set 'glibc Argument list too long' in 'Summary' contains all word/strings
6.search
No bugs found. Then...
7.set hardware to 'amd64'
8.search
One bug found.

Actual Results:
first no bugs found, then one appears when the search is restricted

Expected Results:
found the same bug both times

Uh, "All" doesn't mean look for bugs with any architecture marked. "All" is an option just like any of the architectures. Select all of the items in the list for the functionality you're looking for.
