Description Lex 2008-01-09 01:44:03 UTC
I upgraded to k3b-1.0.4 and it is no longer able to burn CDs as a user. It errors with the message "Cdrecord has no permission to open the device"

However, the user is in the cdrom group, and ls -l in /dev/ shows:

brw-rw---- 1 root cdrom 22, 0 Dec 10 13:13 /dev/hdc
brw-rw---- 1 root cdrom 22, 64 Dec 10 13:13 /dev/hdd

hdc is my DVD-Burner. hdd is my CD-Burner.

Normally I'd try the k3bsetup program to see if that fixes things, but it's no longer present.

Reproducible: Always

Use cdrkit instead of broken cdrtools.
