After an re-install of Gentoo Linux 1.4rc4, My domain is not reconize by my system at boot up. It is listed as grev.(none) My /etc/hostname has the following grev.speakeasy.net My /etc/hosts has the following in it 127.0.0.1 localhost 192.168.1.101 grev.speakeasy.net grev In the past Gentoo has always seen my domain name as speakeasy.net Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. Boot computer 2. 3. Actual Results: Hostname listed as grev.(none) Expected Results: Hostname should be listed as grev.speakeasy.net http://forums.gentoo.org/viewtopic.php?t=51538 It may be linked to gaming-sources, another person on the forum has the same problem. This cause no ill effect network or server wise other than no listed domain.
