BasiliskII crashes during initialization when it is compiled with -O1 or -O2 onan Athlon XP. Skipping optimization during ebuild by removing any -O flags from /usr/portage/app-emulation/basiliskII/basiliskII-0.9.0.ebuild fixes the problem. are you using -march=athlonxp ? please post `emerge info`
Please try the 1.0.0 version and let me know if it works better for you. Since there's been no response to the query for your emerge info output for a week and I just added the 1.0.0 ebuild to CVS, I'm going to close this bug.
