Ubuntu has a python script called asoundconf to change the default alsa sound card for all video and audio applications as user. It is pretty useful if, for example, you want to use usb speakers in your laptop but you plug and unplug them very frequently. I've found other solutions to do this, but they are not as simple as using asoundconf. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce:
