mod_perl 1.99_09 is now available:

wget http://perl.apache.org/dist/mod_perl-1.99_09.tar.gz

Still having problems with "make test" when building under portage. Stay tuned
to bug 19951 where we are also dealing with "make test" for the earlier version
1.99_08.

Good news regarding "make test" in bug 19951, comment 8. Similar solution applies here as well.

bug 19951, comment 11 has the solution which seems to be holding up. This should be close to being wrapped up.
