The hibernate script tries to unload the ipw3945 module since it is in the blacklist file. This is probably a good thing, since earlier versions of the hibernate script did not do it, and then often the module would fail. Unfortunately, the script tries to unload it with rmmod, and that is not possible since there is an associated daemon using the module, it must be unloaded with modprobe -r. Apparently, the hibernate script uses rmmod unless modprobe supports the -N option, which mine apparently does not. Modifying the script to use modprobe -r fixes the problem.
