Lately, I've had several packages fail to compile with USE=doc due to some errors in or around docbook. E.g. net-misc/iputils-20070202: [...] Using catalogs: /etc/sgml/sgml-docbook-3.1.cat Using stylesheet: /usr/share/sgml/docbook/utils-0.6.14/docbook-utils.dsl#html Working on: /var/tmp/portage/net-misc/iputils-20070202/work/iputils-s20070202/doc/tmp.db2html/../index.db jade:/usr/share/sgml/docbook/sgml-dtd-3.1/dbcent.mod:53:65:W: cannot generate system identifier for public text "ISO 8879:1986//ENTITIES Added Math Symbols: Arrow Relations//EN" jade:/usr/share/sgml/docbook/sgml-dtd-3.1/dbcent.mod:54:8:E: reference to entity "ISOamsa" for which no system identifier could be generated jade:/usr/share/sgml/docbook/sgml-dtd-3.1/dbcent.mod:52:0: entity was defined here [...] and so forth. As far as I can tell, I have everything related to sgml, docbook and dtds that isn't masked installed on my system (including app-text/gentoo-guide-xml-dtd). I can install the packages without docs, but I prefer installing documentation, so please tell me which packages I need to install to fix these errors (and maybe fix Portage so it knows too). Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce:
Re-emerge sgml-common. *** This bug has been marked as a duplicate of bug 128952 ***
Thanks, that fixed it.
