after upgrading to xorg 1.4, my mouse wheel stopped working.I have two mice a ps/2 one and a usb one. Nither's wheel is working. i re-emerged xf86-input-mouse but with no change afterwards. This is the xorg.conf section of my mouse: "Section "InputDevice" Identifier "Mouse0" Driver "mouse" Option "Protocol" "PS/2" Option "Device" "/dev/input/mice" Option "ButtonNumber" "7" Option "ZAxisMapping" "4 5 6 7" EndSection" Scrolling over the xev window did not showed any buttons. Tried to set protocol to ExplorerPS/2 or IMPS/2?
*** Bug 195855 has been marked as a duplicate of this bug. ***
Wow ! Setting the protocol to IMPS/2 resolved my problem! Thanks! It used to work till now with the PS/2 protocol
(In reply to comment #3) > It used to work till now with the PS/2 protocol I'm really surprised, PS/2 was always limited to 5 buttons on any box I tried, for years. :)
Anyway, NOTABUG. :) Thanks for reporting back.
