Description Gregory P. Smith 2003-04-17 03:13:28 UTC
The netperf-2.2 package builds and installs netperf binaries under
/usr/share/netperf. They either belong in /usr/bin or /opt/netperf/bin.

Reproducible: Always
Steps to Reproduce:
1. emerge netperf
2.
3.

Actual Results:
file /usr/share/netperf/*

Expected Results:
install them properly.

Noticed the same. I'll try to do a better ebuild later today.

Here we go, ebuild for netperf-2.2_p4. Did _alot_ of changes, here's the ChangeLog entry:

New version, using netperf-2.2pl4. Fixed NETPERF_HOME to /opt/netperf
instead of pervert /usr/share/netperf. Changed DESCRIPTION. Fixed LICENSE.
It's _not_ HP, the correct license is (for now) at files/LICENSE. README has
some more info about the license. Added man pages, netperf.ps manual and
init.d script. Made it use emake instead of make and "make install" for
installing. There is also a commented out IUSE="ipv6". I have no chance to
test it right now, please do so if you are able to.

The ebuild, digest, changelog and this "new" license are in the submitted tar ball. And as always, put them to my web page also: http://www.kruu.org/jvtm/portage/net-analyzer/netperf/
