The number of packages migrating to cmake encreased the last months. So it would be nice to simplify the creation of ebuilds.
As kde4 uses cmake they have created a new eclass: cmake-utils.eclass.

It would be nice to see this soon in portage!

That's the current cmake-utils.eclass from kde4-overlay (layman -a kde)
