Since attaching files isn't working, you can also get this ebuild script at http://skiingyac.dhs.org/projects/rdiff-backup-0.6.0.ebuild Rdiff-backup is similar to rsync in that it does file synchronization over a network. It also allows you to keep incremental diffs between files and directories and has fancy command line options which let you recover any of those revisions. It is written in python and in my experience is superior to rsync for reliable backup purposes because it does not have the pesky undepected EOF in read_timeout errors. It requires librsync (see bug #1941 for ebuild) and python > 2.2. I suggest net-misc/rdiff-backup for a category/name. Thanks again, Justin
