Description Daniel Gryniewicz (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2007-09-20 15:42:46 UTC
This bug is intended to track dependencies in non gnome-2.20 packages broken by gnome 2.20.
Comment 1 Daniel Gryniewicz (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2007-09-20 15:43:39 UTC
gtksoureview-2 breaks API/ABI. Everything with a gtksourceview dep needs to be modified to use 1*.
Comment 2 Gilles Dartiguelongue (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2007-09-20 15:48:48 UTC
might want to have a look there:

http://tinderbox.dev.gentoo.org/misc/rindex/x11-libs/gtksourceview
Comment 3 Daniel Gryniewicz (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2007-09-20 20:48:43 UTC
We should also slotmove the old gktsourceview to slot 1
Comment 4 Matthias Kuhn 2007-09-21 21:18:27 UTC
gnome-base/gnome-menus-2.20.0 from gnome-experimental overlay fails here:

checking for headers required to compile python extensions... not found
configure: error: Building python explicitly requested, but can't build python bindings

please reread the first post before adding a comment. This is a different issue and should have been filled separately. Be sure to have a recent enough version of python (>=2.4.4-r5).
Comment 6 Matthias Kuhn 2007-09-22 09:24:23 UTC
I'm sorry, haven't read carefully. Just saw that it's about dependencies.
Move the issue to http://bugs.gentoo.org/show_bug.cgi?id=193368 . I guess it's a better place.
Comment 7 Rémi Cardona (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2008-05-27 19:43:41 UTC
All the packages depending on gtksourceview have been fixed, either by using 1.8* or slotted deps with EAPI=1.
