Description Jan Stępień 2007-09-14 07:18:28 UTC
Compilation of dpkg is being stopped after entering directory man/po4a due to "bus errors".

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
# emerge dpkg
Actual Results:
Output attached.

Expected Results:
dpkg compiles and installs cleanly.

The original output was half-Polish because of LC_ALL variable. I've translated it to English. I hope I haven't missed anything.

Tail from the output.
Comment 2 Robert Bradbury 2007-10-06 16:01:29 UTC
I may have something related to this. "dpkg" now appears to depend upon po4a. I cannot emerge po4a at all.
The tail end of the emerge is...
Creating META.yml

Died at /root2/var/tmp/portage/app-text/po4a-0.32-r1/work/po4a-0.32/_build/lib/My/Builder.pm line 162.

The "Died" is due to my explicitly killing a perl process that had consumed over an hour of CPU time.

Move this to Bug 195277 please.

Please test it with po4a-0.33.3. I can install dpkg without problems.

Please reopen if it still failes
