Description Juan 2007-08-31 14:38:22 UTC
I know that they are experimental packages but...

Packages for emacs-cvs-23-0.0-r[0-7] come from the unicode-2 branch of cvs emacs while the newer emacs-cvs-23.0.50 comes from the Head branch. Thus Xft (with nice font support) is no longer present.

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1. emerge emacs-cvs
2.
3.

And our ebuilds install them in different SLOTs, so they can be installed concurrently:

   $ eselect emacs list
   Available GNU Emacs symlink targets:
     [1]   emacs-18
     [2]   emacs-21
     [3]   emacs-22
     [4]   emacs-22-cvs
     [5]   emacs-23 *
     [6]   emacs-23-unicode

   XEmacs is also installed

You may unmask and install emacs-cvs-23.0.0-r7 and use "eselect emacs" to select emacs-23-unicode.
