Description Marius Kjeldahl 2007-08-23 10:34:50 UTC
When emerging www-servers/apache-2.0.59-r3 a string %%LOAD_MODULE%% is left in /etc/apache/httpd.conf which stops apache from loading. I'm guessing something is wrong in the ebuild or something where the part figuring out the modules goes wrong. Downgrading to r2 seems to get rid of it.

Reproducible: Always

As Benedikt already pointed out, I backported parts of the apache-2.2 patchset (including the config changes), where we also had decided (or better the previous apache maintainer) to move away from statically defined LOAD_MODULE's.

But apparently, I didn't backport the same thing in the ebuild, so that why you see that ominous %%LOAD_MODULE%% line in your httpd.conf.

I'm currently committing an updated ebuild (which includes the functionality to replace the %%LOAD_MODULE%% with something useful), and it should hit the mirrors in about 45 minutes.
