Description Sébastien Fabbro (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2007-08-21 16:28:50 UTC
Arch teams,

We are in the process a renewing our blas/lapack system at the sci team, and it all starts by a stabilization of sci-libs/blas-reference-20070226. I dropped arches where I can't test because it depended on blas-docs (a trivial package to stabilize), has slightly updated sources and needs eselect-blas.

Since this package will be the first choice for the coming virtual/blas, we need quick stabilization to make the transition smooth.
The new package now includes the standard BLAS tests with autotools, such that FEATURES=test should be sufficient.

Thanks,

Sébastien

Sparc stable for blas-docs and for blas-reference. Sparc has been stable for eselect-blas for some time. (No CC sparc on this bug, but it is fine and seems to be related to bug 189732.)
Comment 2 Jeroen Roovers (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2007-08-21 18:25:06 UTC
Stable for HPPA.
Comment 3 Roy Marples (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2007-08-23 13:20:01 UTC
blas-reference doesn't work when you just have f2c installed and gcc isn't built with fortran. This is because f2c isn't a fortran compiler in itself I guess.

Mainly because the autotools patch uses the standard f77 m4 macro which does not allow it. I removed it as a possible f77 compiler.
Thanks.

x86-fbsd done.
Comment 6 Raúl Porcel (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2007-08-26 17:34:25 UTC
alpha/ia64/x86 stable
Comment 7 nixnut (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2007-08-28 17:40:55 UTC
Added ~ppc keyword, leaving us on cc for stabling in 30 days
Comment 8 Sébastien Fabbro (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2007-08-28 18:35:53 UTC
arch teams, do not forget to test/keyword/stabilize app-doc/blas-docs (and app-admin/eselect-blas if you don't have already). I did not file bugs against those because they are straight forward.

sci: want to fix that first or should we ignore it for now? a man page in an extra package doesn't seem too critical

Ignore it for now. Also, "man intro_blas1" does not display any of this stuff on my boxes, and I tried with various combinations of terminals and pagers.

Comment 12 Christoph Mende (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2007-09-04 11:51:21 UTC
amd64 stable then
Comment 13 nixnut (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2007-09-28 16:43:15 UTC
stable on ppc
Comment 14 Sébastien Fabbro (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2007-10-08 15:34:20 UTC
ping ppc64.

We need this bug resolved to carry on with new virtuals.

Thanks
Comment 15 Markus Rothe (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2007-10-08 18:15:00 UTC
sorry, ppc64 stable now.

last arch CC'd -> mark bug as FIXED
Comment 16 Markus Dittrich (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2007-10-09 01:58:36 UTC
Hi Markus,

I think you missed adding ppc64 to app-doc/blas-docs
which is a dependency for sci-libs/blas-reference-20070226.

Thanks a lot for your help.

cheers,
Markus
Comment 17 Markus Rothe (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2007-10-09 06:50:00 UTC
thanks. fixed now. (blas-docs-3.1.1 stable on ppc64)
