The problem is that an upgrade from so.0 to so.1 breaks so many things that it
necesitate a near total recompile... and lost time etc. while the .so.1 gets linked back in again :(

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1.have a system with libexpat.so.0
2.esync && emerge -uDN system
3.

Actual Results:  
problems with gettext, gnome packages (xulrunner, XPCOM), kde/qt, apache2, PHP, etc. etc. etc. etc.breaking until everything have been recompiled.

At least bug #189126 is related to this.

Expected Results:  
System continues working while the rest gets rebuild to fix this new version issue.
