Justin Bronder is a long time Gentoo user (and has specialised in clustering in the past). He's ready to become a full-on developer and help out on various utilities and programs in the portage tree. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. Find Justin Bronder 2. Convince him to be a dev 3. er, profit? Actual Results: He agreed to be a dev. Expected Results: He would agree to be a dev. He hails from Maine, he's done his quiz (which I've looked at) and he's voiced in #gentoo-dev already.
Oh yeah, I'm just his co-mentor. Daniel Drake is his actual mentor.

Quizes to recruiters@gentoo.org and after that please contact me (IRC/mail) to schedule a review session. If planning to become an ebuild dev please compile a list of ebuild contributions so that I can take a look at your work.
Hi Betelgeuse, Justin has a number of ebuilds in bugzilla: https://bugs.gentoo.org/buglist.cgi?query_format=advanced&short_desc_type=allwordssubstr&short_desc=&long_desc_type=allwordssubstr&long_desc=&bug_file_loc_type=allwordssubstr&bug_file_loc=&status_whiteboard_type=allwordssubstr&status_whiteboard=&keywords_type=allwords&keywords=&bug_status=UNCONFIRMED&bug_status=NEW&bug_status=ASSIGNED&bug_status=REOPENED&bug_status=RESOLVED&bug_status=VERIFIED&bug_status=CLOSED&emailassigned_to1=1&emailreporter1=1&emailcc1=1&emailtype1=substring&email1=jsbronder&emailtype2=exact&email2=&bugidtype=include&bug_id=&votes=&chfieldfrom=&chfieldto=Now&chfieldvalue=&cmdtype=doit&order=Reuse+same+sort+as+last+time&field0-0-0=noop&type0-0-0=noop&value0-0-0= But mostly he's known for helping out devs like Donnie, Dan (Drake) and me with our works. He will be an ebuild dev (and possibly he will help out on catalyst).
I'm not sure why anyone added release to this bug. I don't see anything about him joining Release Engineering here. ...and before you guys say it, "and possibly he will help out on catalyst" has nothing to do with the release alias. It would be catalyst. That being said, catalyst doesn't really require any further full-time developers. Patches are always welcome, of course, but we've pretty well staffed as far as developers with commit access.
...err... I just read that again. I just wanted to make sure it's known that I'm not saying that we can't use the help with certain things in catalyst, just that we're on the verge of a branch which will dramatically change all of the catalyst internals, and as such, I'm going to want all the commits going through myself or Andrew until we've managed to stabilize it again. We're really going to be breaking the hell out of it... ;] Just in is more than welcome to come hang around #-releng and to join the gentoo-catalyst mailing list, if he isn't already.
s/Just in/Justin/ This isn't my day. I'm going the hell home!
Sorry about the delay. Didn't notice that the signed ssh key was filtered to the recruiters folder because of the CC. Any way: Done: LDAP userinfo.xml -core bugzilla cvs/svn groups on cvs.gentoo.org IRC-cloak announcement #gentoo-dev channel access What you need to do: - subscribe to mailing lists with @gentoo.org address - request forum status bump in #gentoo-forums or by mail to forum-mods@gentoo.org (if you have a forums count) - send yourself mail to create .maildir - add yourself to mail aliases ( like java@gentoo.org ) see /var/mail/alias on dev.gentoo.org - ask team leads to add yourself to herds.xml for the herds you want to join or do it yourself if you have the permission to do so - set lat and lon attributes in LDAP if you want others to know where exactly you are located If you have any problems etc, just ping me on IRC or reopen this bug. We will be watching you.
He is not active for a long time
He is still here :)
Please proceed with my retirement.
We're going to wait 14 days as usual. Thanks for all your work on Gentoo!
