It can simply be installed via webapps and should work out of the box more or less (database setup is needed of course). Be sure to read the readme and installation files of mnogosearch after installation about how to setup a database and modify the config files accordingly. Example installation procedure: 1. echo "www-misc/mnogosearch msoffice mysql msoffice pdf vhosts" >> /etc/portage/package.use 2. emerge mnogosearch 3. webapp-config -I -h mongosearch.localhost mnogosearch 3.3.4-r1 4. modify configuration files in /var/www/mongosearch.localhost/mnogosearch/ 5. indexer -Ecreate /var/www/mongosearch.localhost/mnogosearch/indexer.conf 6. indexer /var/www/mongosearch.localhost/mnogosearch/indexer.conf 7. Only thing left at this point is to setup an apache virtual hosts for the installation 8. Browse to http://mongosearch.localhost/cgi-bin/search.cgi Thanks to the contributors at the webapps overlay at, saved me some time: http://overlays.gentoo.org/proj/webapps/browser/experimental/www-apps/mnogosearch/ Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce:
